Firstly, I would like to thank our amazing first responders, including our Public Works crew and those first responders from the surrounding towns that have been working all night to put the fire out and secure the site.
Thankfully, no one was injured.
There are no words to describe the feelings of sadness and loss that we are all feeling. We lost several businesses that make up the fabric of Thomaston and help to define Thomaston’s downtown. However, there is one that is the singular icon for our town and that’s Patti’s Place. This pain will take time to pass. Please send your prayers to Patty and Mike.
Please know that you will smell smoke in the area for some time. If smoke is an irritant for you, please avoid the area or stay inside.
