The Thomaston Volunteer Ambulance Corps, located at 237 South Main Street (behind the fire station), consists of approximately 35 active members. The Corps operates two ambulances at the MIC-I with D-Fib and Epi-Pen level.
Ambulance service is available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week at no cost to the patient. Ambulance Corps members carry pagers and are dispatched through the Thomaston Police Department. Depending on the "on-duty" crew, members either respond directly to the scene or to ambulance headquarters.
Each crew consists of two to four members. The Ambulance Corps meets the first Wednesday of every month at Ambulance Headquarters and prospective members are always welcomed to attend. Training is reimbursed by the Corps.
