Free Summer Concert Series

The Fine Arts Connection of Thomaston continues its 21st year of free summer outdoor concerts at Reeves Little League Field, 9 North Main St., Thomaston. The corporate sponsor for the Summer Concert Series is the Thomaston Savings Bank Foundation. Each concert runs 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
The July 29th concert features former CT State Troubadour Nekita Waller & Band.
Nekita Waller was named Connecticut’s 17th State Troubadour in 2018. She made her stage debut as a teen at the famous Apollo Theater in Harlem and has shared the stage with such artists as B.B. King, Ruben Studdard, and Dianne Reeves. Nekita performs with her band of incredibly talented musicians bringing a mix of pop, Motown, soul, Jazz and classic rock favorites with original music. Thomastonians may be familiar with her onstage turn as "Motormouth" Maybell Stubbs in Landmark Community Theater's production of the musical, "Hairspray".
Reeves Field is handicap accessible. The Little League Café will be open for food and snacks. Bring your lawn chair or blanket, leave your alcohol at home, sit back and enjoy the wonder of live music!
In the event of inclement weather, the concerts will be held at Thomaston High School, 185 Branch Road (Route 109), which is also handicap-accessible. Visit the FACT website: www.thomastonfinearts.com or www.facebook.com/FineArtsConnectionofThomaston for announcements of venue change due to weather.
