WARNING OF SPECIAL TOWN MEETING
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 28, 2023, 7:00 P.M.
TOWN HALL – LENA MORTON GALLERY
The electors and those persons eligible to vote in town meetings of the Town of Thomaston, Connecticut, are hereby WARNED AND NOTIFIED that a Special Town Meeting will be held in the Town Hall, in the Lena Morton Gallery, 158 Main Street, Thomaston, Connecticut, on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 7:00 P.M. for the following purposes:
ITEM 1. As recommended by the Board of Finance and approved by the Board of Selectmen, to consider and act on a RESOLUTION FOR AN APPROPRIATION OF $1,200,000 FOR REPAIRS, REPLACEMENTS AND UPGRADES TO THE HICKORY HILL, ELECTRIC AVENUE AND KENNEDY DRIVE SEWER PUMP STATIONS AND A BOND AUTHORIZATION IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,200,000 TO FINANCE SAID APPROPRIATION.
ITEM 2. As recommended by the Board of Finance and approved by the Board of Selectmen, to consider and act on a RESOLUTION FOR AN APPROPRIATION OF $615,000 FOR THE REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT OF THE ROOF AT THOMASTON TOWN HALL AND A BOND AUTHORIZATION IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $615,000 TO FINANCE SAID APPROPRIATION.
ITEM 3. As recommended by the Board of Finance and approved by the Board of Selectmen, to consider and act on a RESOLUTION FOR AN APPROPRIATION OF $200,000 FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES RELATED TO THE ELM STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AND A BOND AUTHORIZATION IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $200,000 TO FINANCE SAID APPROPRIATION.
ITEM 4. As recommended by the Board of Finance and approved by the Board of Selectmen, to consider and act on a RESOLUTION FOR AN APPROPRIATION OF $125,000 FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES RELATED TO OLD NORTHFIELD ROAD AND A BOND AUTHORIZATION IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $125,000 TO FINANCE SAID APPROPRIATION.
ITEM 5. As recommended by the Board of Finance and approved by the Board of Selectmen, to consider and act on a RESOLUTION FOR AN APPROPRIATION OF $3,845,000 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A PORTION OF THE GREENWAY TRAIL FROM EAST MAIN STREET TO WATERTOWN ROAD AND A BOND AUTHORIZATION IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $445,000 TO FINANCE SAID APPROPRIATION, WITH THE BALANCE FUNDED BY GRANTS.
ITEM 6. As recommended by the Board of Finance and approved by the Board of Selectmen, to consider and act on a RESOLUTION FOR AN APPRORIATION TOTALING $60,000 OVER THREE YEARS FOR GIS MAPPING UPGRADES.
