WARNING OF SPECIAL TOWN MEETING
MAY 18, 2022 @ 7:00 P.M.
TOWN HALL – LENA MORTON GALLERY
The electors and those persons eligible to vote in town meetings of the Town of Thomaston, Connecticut, are hereby WARNED AND NOTIFIED that a Special Town Meeting will be held in the Town Hall, 158 Main Street, Thomaston, Connecticut, in the Lena Morton Gallery, on May 18, 2022 at 7:00 P.M. for the following purposes:
ITEM 1. As recommended by the Board of Finance, to consider an APPROPRIATION of an amount not to exceed $470,000, with $250,000 from ARPA and $220,000 from the Town’s surplus funds, for the purchase of one 2022 Ferrara FC-94 Custom Pumper Truck from Bulldog Fire Apparatus of Bozrah, Connecticut for the Thomaston Fire Department and authorizing the First Selectman and Board of Selectmen to execute and deliver any and all documents and to perform any and all acts necessary or convenient for said purpose.
ITEM 2. As recommended by the Board of Finance, to consider an APPROPRIATION of an amount not to exceed $150,000 from the Town’s fund balance to pay the firm of Tighe & Bond for review, engineering, and construction administration for the Town Hall roof, and authorizing the First Selectman and Board of Selectmen to execute and deliver any and all documents and to perform any and all acts necessary or convenient for said purpose.
