Recycling Guidelines

Your recycling program is better and greener than ever!

  • All food and beverage containers made of plastics No. 1 through No. 7!
    No black plastics, no styrofoam or other foam plastics, please
  • Mixed paper – newspapers, magazines, bills, receipts, junk mail, computer paper
    and mixed office paper
    Shred bills and receipts to destroy personal information
  • Corrugated cardboard and chipboard (cereal boxes, shoe boxes, pasta boxes)
    Remove cereal box linings and pasta box windows
  • Glass food and drink jars and bottles
    Rinsed and unbroken; leave labels on, discard caps and lids
  • Aluminum and steel containers including aerosol cans (NO PAINT, PESTICIDES OR 
    OTHER HAZARDOUS WASTES) up to three gallons
    Rinse, but don’t crush
  • Juice boxes and milk or juice containers
    Rinse and remove caps and straws
  • No. 1 and No. 2 plastic food and laundry product containers up to three gallons
    Rinsed, but not crushed
  • Redeem all deposit cans and bottles!
