To serve you better, the Building and Land Use Staff will be available to the general public, with or without an appointment, during the hours listed below.

Please note that during walk-in hours, staff may be out in the field or assisting others. You will be served on a first-come, first-serve basis.

To ensure someone will be available, you are welcome to schedule an appointment for any time during the day.

Debit/Credit card and eCheck payments can now be be made in office and online.

The Building and Land Use Department is now accepting electronic payments for permit fees online and in office. Permits are to be emailed separately to lfitch@thomastonct.org. Please call 860-283-8411 1 to verify the fee before submitting a payment. **Convenience fees apply.**

The Building and Land Use Department is responsible for issuing permits for construction and renovations of buildings and alterations to land within the Town of Thomaston. Department staff enforces building, zoning, and inland wetlands codes and regulations for the town.
