Thomaston Dam

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers welcomes you to the Thomaston Dam, located in the towns of Thomaston, Harwinton, Litchfield and Plymouth, Connecticut. The Thomaston Dam is part of a network of flood control dams and local protection projects built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in the Naugatuck Valley Basin. The dam was constructed at a cost of $14 million and completed in 1960. The 849 acres of land and water resources provide visitors with many recreational opportunities such as hiking, sightseeing, snow-mobiling, fishing and upland game hunting.
