Nystrom's Park

Nystrom's Park is located in Thomaston, at the intersection of Turner Road and Hickory Hill Road with access to parking located on both Turner Road and Hickory Hill Road. The main entrance to the beach area is located on Turner Road.

There is a parking fee charged for use of the beach area during the months of June, July, and August. The current daily parking fee is $5.00 per day for Thomaston and Litchfield residents or $10.00 per day for non-residents. Daily parking passes are purchased at the gate.  The current season parking fee is $50.00 per season for Thomaston and Litchfield residents, $100.00 per season for non-residents. Season parking passes must be purchased through the First Selectman's Office in Town Hall during normal business hours.  Seniors are free of charge for both day and season passes.  Proof of residency must be provided upon entry to the park or the non-resident fee will be charged.

This location has:

  • A regulation Little League field for youth baseball.
  • A full size soccer field, which can be used for either youth or High School age soccer
  • A basketball court
  • Playground equipment with swings and slides
  • A beach area
  • A picnic area, complete with picnic tables and grills
  • A bathhouse, complete with bathroom and changing areas
